So a couple days ago I took the blazer out for a spin than suddenly turned off on me, I checked the battery replaced it With a new still nothing now when my keys are in the ignition it just turns forward no dash power or crank at all still get power to the headlights but that’s about it also replaced the ignition switch nothing any thoughts thanks IA

Hi @GregRod21 and welcome to Ck5

What year? Also, you said that you replaced the switch. The one above the pedals on the column? Maybe try moving it, might not be within reach of the column rod

She’s a 89 and ya the whole ignition switch above the Column

Having said that, check that the two halves of the fuse block through the bulkhead are tight. It’s plausible your old ignition switch wasn’t the culprit

So there could be as many as nine fuse links on your truck. Check that you have power in and out of the bus bar on firewall. Check to see if the alt big wire has power. You can do this with a test light hooked to negative battery terminal, and probe the "hot".
Inspect all the wires, look for melty spots in the insulation. If you find melty pull on it if it stretches it burned through and needs replacing.

Off the starter, One fusible link handles lights, other handles ignition. Pretty likely that's where the problem lies for you, check as Wes suggests.

Do some searching for a wire schematic, watch some YouTube videos, and get some advice here which will let you do some basic trouble-shooting. Don't take this wrong but I hate it when people just randomly start throwing parts at a vehicle when some very basic and simple voltage checks can point you in the right direction.

- check battery for voltage
- check for voltage at fuse block
- check the grounds (visual check for loose or crusty connections.....grounds typically to engine block/body/frame), run continuity checks with a multimeter (most volt meters have a continuity mode
- see what fuses or relays are related to start and run functions, verify they are good (check power in and out, visually inspect fuses)
- check for power going into the ignition switch, and going out when key is on and when cranking
- check power and signal going to starter

you mentioned you rellaced the ignition switch
try moving the u shape switch on the colum towards the base (reverse light/ nss)
might be bad or moved out of adjusted.
one quick way is to unplug the harness and jump them to see if that's the issue
