I'm finally done with my b52 swap with 52" in the front and 56" in the rear with DIY4X 4" shackle reversal and i noticed that it looks like my axle MAY hit my tank. has anyone had issues with this? i want to eventually put the tank half in the cab and half outside, but no time to do it now.

i have TAPPED my cover against my tank a couple times, but im also running 63s and pushed the axle back somewhere along 3.5-4" back from stock and running almost no lift.

Kool! as long as im not smashing my diff into my tank ill be happy. i already took it out once on a ledge, cost me $75. should have went with a cell. oh well live and learn.

im waiting to destroy mine. i added a couple more considerable sized dents this weekend, but not from the 14b.

and yeah, as long as you have the axle near stock placement, i see very little issue.

I got 64" springs in the rear and moved the axle back 6"s. I bounced the hell out of the truck and the diff hit the gas tank skid a little, I removed the skid and diff didn't hit. I'm also running the diy4x razorback cover so it sticks out a little more. I think you will be fine

The 56"s are offset, so it depends on which way you put them. Also depends on your diff and its cover.

On mine, when I put long side up front, my 14BFF's Jethrobilt cover wanted to become one with the tank on compression. With a stock cover or something lower profile (or something smaller than the pig of a 14bff) you might be okay.

I switched to the short side up front and it fits fine.

I put the long side towards the front:) I wanted the extra length.don't mind moving the tank just wanted to know how soon i should prioritize it. I currently have the stock cover but that will likely go away with a lil cash flow:) Thx again guys!

long side torwards the front should put your axle a hair further back than mine...i have a razorback cover as well, and the razors hit. without them, you have another 1.5" or so of compression before you hit. You MAY hit it, but its gonna take a good jolt to do it.

With the top on mine I bent the hell out of the tank...

Not a stock tank and a MOR 1/4" cover. I put the long side forward also.

awesome thanks for the inputs. I am going to go ahead and start the mod after my buisness trip. might as well get the tank out of the way now, then risk regretting it on the trail. Now to just figure out my dang clutch issue and ill be set.
