Hey guys, I'm on the search for another truck that will be daily driver/tow rig. My dad told me about a 1988 K3500 pickup that he heard from a friend. I havn't seen it yet but from what I've heard its a 1-ton 4x4, regular cab, longbed. It has a newer goodwrench 350 in it and they are asking $2,500 OBO. That's all I know. I don't know if its auto or manual, but either way which trans would it have? I feel like a noob for asking this but, it will be IFS right? Anything in particular I should look out for on this model year?

Thanks in advance, I'm going to check it out this weekend

If it's the newer body style it will be IFS, some people genericly call all GM trucks C or Ks regardless of year, so there is a possibility it's old body style with a solid axle

Either body style will have a T400 or a 465.

So an 88 regular cab 1-ton pickup could still be the old body style? If that's the case, Im definitly buying this thing!!

If it is for sure a regular cab it would be new body style, only the 4 door trucks are old body style. I only mentioned that above because neither you or your dad had actually seen the truck yet. And we all know how that works, it could turn into a '92 half ton Ford before it's all said and done:rolleyes:.

I know the cab and chassis regular cab one tons were available in the old body style up until 1991, but it sounds like this has a box?

Lol, yea i know what you mean. I just looked at the ad, it doesn't say if its a regular cab or not, I thought it did
