I have searched high and low trying to find an answer, but I cant seem to find any definite answer.

I recently installed a SM465 w/ hydraulic clutch into the blazer. I have spent hours bleeding this clutch assembly with a pressure bleeder. after I bleed it I have initial pressure and can disengage the clutch but that soon goes away and I have no pedal. I broke down and bought a new master and slave trying to fix this but it yields the same results. The blazer got a new flywheel/clutch/throwout bearing/master and slave cylinder.

would the wrong throw out bearing cause it to disengage immediately after bleeding but not anytime after?

would a manual throwout bearing instead of the hydraulic one cause the issues?

would a throwout bearing with the spring installed over the top of the bearing and not in the groove with the fork cause this?

or am i just a retard and still have air in the system?

I am getting ready to leave for buisness on Sunday and would really like to resolve this issue before then, so i can get it from in front of my friends driveway.

Thanks in advance!

I've had to do this a few times and never had any luck bleeding the system on the truck. For me it's faster to remove the slave, master and resevoir and bleed it on the bench, I can also do it by myself. Crappy solution but it works for me

Hey, Are you sure that the throwout bearing is installed right? I would also wait till you got back so you don't rush it and screw things up worse than they already are.

About time you actually posted something:) I am sure that the throwout bearing is facing the right way but I cant remember about the location of the spring. I am starting to think its not the TB cause after I bleed it for a while I have initial clutch. I bleed it the way you would normal brakes and from what I read their might still be an air pocket. I wont rush it, already arranged for it to stay longer but id like to finish it this weekend if I can. The fact that I can get clutch makes me think that the TB is in right as I figure if it was wrong it would not work at all and I can feel a difference in the clutch after a few movements of the pedal ( feels like brakes with air in the lines) btw

Fixed! Pulled the tranny and found the fork spring was not under the lip as it was supposed to be. Fixed that and bench bled the system and worked first time.
