Questions About Rear End

I have a K5 with an auto tranny.... question is when I crowd it at low rpm I get a shudder/shake that seems to be coming from the rear end, does this sound like a rear end problem?
How do I tell what rear end I have? and/or gear ratio?
If thats what it is, what is the best way to go about correcting the problem, repair/replacement???

probly your u - joints need replaced . your axle is probly a 12 bolt ,count the cover bolts if there are 12 then its a 12 bolt and oif there are 10 im sure u see the logic..

I don't think its the u-joints, they look really good. This problem is only when I accellerate and then only at lower rpms.

You have a 12 bolt...the shutter could be alot of things...
I would check:
-u-joints
-slip yoke
-suspension bushings
-leaf springs
-shocks
