Questions (TBI & Flooding)

looked through my Chilton late night I have a few items to try hopefully i can start the truck and pull it in to the garage and out of the weather to tinker with it more.

Well I had an epiphany today...Walking away from a bad situation helps with the resolve...

I decided to try my luck today. Went out and put in a new set of AC delco plugs and set the timing close to tdc. She popped right off and stayed running...only I had the battery charger on during this.(hint) Well I was having some fun in the snow and killed it not watching my shifting while hanging out the window watching my tires. I go to start it back up and it turns over extremely hard but she started none the less. So I get back up the the garage and shut her down and start it back up again same scenario as before so I think the timing must be off. Made an adjustment low and behold it was worst than before so I set it back to the original area I started from. Then It dawned on me that the starter is the possible problem since it was a Frankenstein from 2 separate starters. thus causing the erratic behavior when turning over the motor. I don't believe the starter was able to energize correctly thus being why it would turn over better with a booster charge. So long story short faulty starter tried to compensate by adjusting the timing = my issues I'm 90% sure this is the the source of my troubles. Picked up a new starter tonight and will install it tomorrow. Let see if the outcome is in my favor.:D

The second item I learned auto light plugs are crap!!! imho

Low voltage from the charging system will also wreak havoc on the electronics... Have you checked your volts with a multimeter? What is the condition of your battery?
