I have not been on here in awhile, i have a 90 3/4 burb, 350, 400 241
running 37" tires, 456 gears
with this said, my tranny finally gave it up, so while that is being rebuilt i figured i will rebuild the engine. I am going to build a 383 any advice on how to build it, any computer problems i am going to encounter. This is a highway, runner, wheeling on the weekends when i have time rig. Thank you for the advice

I used Edelbrock cam, intake bored to 2in. to take the 454 throtlebody I put on it. A chip from TBI chips. Better fuel pump and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator or some guys use a spring from TBI chips. And I went with a 200 rpm higher stall torque converter from Monster transmission.

Building a 383 is going to require larger injectors and also a custom chip. What kind of money are you looking to spend? I'm an automotive machinist by trade and i just built myself a new engine (HOT 350) that makes lots of torque and decent HP as well. I built the engine for torque between idle and 3500rpm. You can make some big numbers with a 350 but it's going to cost you. The biggest improvements are heads and cam selection, then a set of headers and a nice 3" single exhaust.

Since you are pretty local to me if you want to drive over the bridge sometime and meet me i can take you for a ride in my blazer so you can feel the power it makes.
