Did 14 bolt SF axles ever come with 3.42 gears? If so, in what trucks and in what years?

I do believe they could be had with 3.42's... You just have to keep pulling covers to find out. They were a specific year or model type thing...

Yes they did, I have one.

Supposedly out of a 1997 something or other. 6 lug, 3.42 gov-lock.

Several years ago I looked at an early to mid-80's Chevy 3/4 ton truck in the local junkyard that had a 3.42 geared 14SF in it.

there was/is a guy on 67-72chevytrucks.com giving one away for free, and i'm fairly sure it was 3.42.

try the 88-up 2500 6 lug 2x4 trucks . lots of them had 3.42. i have one in the driveway. i am parting it out and will sell the axle compleat if wanted. has new spidergears . runs 100% ao.k.
