Quick ??? 1978 D60...

DRW or SRW? What gears and what shape is the axle in?

The only con of an '80 and earlier 60 is that they have the smaller "neck down" inner shafts. They are still 35 spline, but they are considerably smaller in the middle than the later shafts. The later style shafts are a direct bolt in.

Sorry should have clarified a little more...

Found out it is from a DRW, he "thinks" 4.10's but not sure and came from a running complete truck. He specifically said it was a Dana 60. He's asking $400.

Thoughts?

kind of high especially if you want to make it a SRW. I bought my SRW Dana 60 from a member for about $150 with 4.10 gears. Check the sale area in here you should be able to beat that price.

$150 for a SRW 60? You got a hell of a deal there. Nobody on here is going to sell a D60 for $150. Atleast I don't think so. We're pretty close. I didn't know there were any members close to me on here.

You do realize that we are talking front Dana 60 model axle ?
$400 is a great price regardless of what gear it has.

There are deals out there but four bills is not to high of a price !
