I posted this in the "PAD" thread. My friend and electrician I work with bought this when he was 18. He's about 43 now :waytogo: Went to school with my cousin and one day he called him. "I've got a 6 pack, do you have a Sawzall?" And it started from there.

1968 (I think that's what he said) VW Bug
Convertible with 4" taken out of the front window
1835 beast of an engine, built by my cousin long time ago (port matched something something etc etc)
Lightened flywheel and clutch (something like that, I don't know this stuff)
Stock trans with short axles
Slammed :waytogo:
Rides like it's on rails, feels like a go kart, sounds bitchin', and killer stereo. (though I think the stereo is currently out of it)
Next step is some cage work
It's been stored for a long time. No money or time to work on it. Recently finished his house, which kept the front wall and completely demoed the rest adding a second story too. :eek1: It's running good and he's starting to drive it more.

Cool.

1835cc is a stock 69mm stroke with larger 92mm barrels.
Back in the day I had a 1969 bug with a 1776cc mill (69 x 90.5mm) and set a dual Dellorto carbs. :waytogo:

100hp in a car that only weighs 1800 lbs always feels fast..... :)

The exhaust I built for my older brothers bug in the early 80's, ran the mufflers in the fenders. But all that was seen was the splitter at the header. He was running a 2087cc, or something like that.
