I need to know what size fitting is on the rear of the junction block on a 1990 Blazer for the rear brake line? It is the junction block on the frame near the fuel filter on the frame. I believe the line is a 1/4".

prob one of the special factory nuts.

my local napa has adaptor lines with all the diffrent sizes on them to reg size on the other end.

sorry i dont know that off the top of my head. :doah:

On my 82 K2500 and most older trucks I had,the rear brake line going to the rear from the proportioning valve is 1/4",but it has a weird fitting on the end there at the valve, that is 9/16-20 thread --you can buy a brass adapter to let the usual fitting that come on a pre-flared 1/4" line screw into it ,or use one of the adapter lines with the 9/16-20 fitting on one end, with a coupler to the 1/4" line...Autozone had the brass adapter for less than 2 bucks last time I needed one....................................................................................................they used that weird 9/16-20 thread on one master cylinder port also, and the 3/16" line that goes in the other master cyl port has 7/16-20 thread like a 1/4" line usually has on it too...why GM did that other than to befuddle backyard mechanics,I cant say for sure...no need for that !!...sure ruins your plans to replace brake lines on sunday, when most "good" parts stores are closed!....I save all those fittings now when I scrap a truck or see someone else junking one,it pays off having that kuind of stuff in stock--saves a lot of time and gas trotting around town looking for one!..

If u have a ride or another vehicle just take it off and bring with you. Thats what i always do.

I am ordering parts online so I can get my cutting brakes put in. I was hoping to get it ordered before tearing it apart. I need a brake line to go from that junction block to a 1/8" npt fitting for my brake light switch.
