quick brake question

I recently shortened my truck and now I am redoing the brakes and I had one quick question about this little L shaped bracket on the frame that holds the soft line just above the differential. I was just wondering how important it was if it even made it back on to the truck.

I suspect it keeps the hardline from flexing, and break. That would be a giant lawsuit.

It, or something like it is very important. Hoses are for flex areas, hard lines are not.
