Cam has 3 flat lobes in the new 4x4, thinking abut the k1102 summit cam, or possibly an RV cam if someone has a suggestion (ive heard the summit cam was similar to the rv cam but im not sure)

Just stock 8.5ish:1 350, stock heads etc. th400/np203 4.10 differentals and plan to run a 32-33 inch tire.

Btw, i dont think the previous owner changed the oil very much, sludge city baby.

I like that duration, but try to find another .030-I/.020-E on the lift.
Are you doing anything intake wise, and what do you have for exhaust?

just going to run stock exhaust manifolds, its got dual exhaust already and im going to keep it that way. And stock intake manifold.

Anybuddy got any links to the RV cams? Never ran one before and dont know what companys make them or the part number for them.

I put the mild Comp Cams extreme energy (I think) in my Blazer and I love it. It performs well even with the current 3.08's and 33's. I'm not at home to look up the exact cam I used.

Melling MTC 1 Is a great inexpensive RV cam for a stock 350. Builds good torque. starts at idle and pulls good all thru the RPM band on a stock 350. Should be able to pick cam and lifter kit up locally for around the same price as the Summit cam you listed in your first post. Most all auto parts stores carry them. It is the standard basic RV cam. I like them because they work good with either Carb or TBI

MTC1 has pretty much the same specs as the summit cam. Slightly less lift.
The summit cam you listed is a Melling cam. I believe it is a MTC 5. Which is a little higher performance than the MTC1. It would work good for you too. . Be best if you had headers tho.
You should be able to pick up either cam kit locally and not have to pay shipping

summit k1103 may be better then?

vs comp 252 high energy

Now, correct me if im wrong, but arent the split duration better on stock exhaust systems? having the bigger exhaust lift? Plus i trust comps name, but under 100 bucks for a cam i know alot of people have had luck with is good in my book, attempting to do this truck on the low buck side because a roller cam for the camaro is gonna be in the 600-1000 dollar range :D.

Thunder, did the rv cam or the summit cam have slightly less lift?

Im getting ready to order it, right now im between the k1102 and k1103, k1103 has slightly bigger lift and i think it would work a little better (earlier 76zimmer suggested this)

Hey zimmer, k1103 sound good to ya?
