I needed a quick disconnect for my winch. The person at NAPA knew what I wanted right away after telling him about my truck bed and it has a winch on it that I can remove quickly so I did not want to permanently wire it. He pulled out the Phillps cataloge and they have some cool stuff. He had the quick disconnect stuff later that day. Not to expensive for the stuff either.

Now for the problem. The part that mounts on the truck would not really fit anywhere cause it sits very deep where the wires attach to. I wanted to mount it out of the way and easy access as well. So I had some scrap alum tubing and plate laying around and TIGed up a mounting system. Here are some pics of the project. Fits and works perfect. Now all I have to do is wire the thing. :D

Here is the full write up on the truck bed project,

That looks good, how big of cable can U get those for??

Check out their site. They have some pretty cool stuff. I do not know the answer to your question though. Try the site.

What size winch are you running out back? Those wires don't look very big, especially for such a long run.

What's the current rating of the contacts in the plug?
