Quick FI question

I got what apeared to be a TBI fuel injection system out of an 85 2wd truck. So I have started researching it and nothing seems to talk about 85 TBI's??? Was there TBI in 85? Did someone swap this in? Or was it called something else back then?

TBI wasnt available on trucks until 87. It started on camaros between 82 and 85 (i dont remember the exact year) If it was on an 85 truck it was swapped in.

You aren't looking at a CCC (carb) system are you?

Not sure what a CCC system is but this had a ECU + a bunch of sensors and the piece ontop of the intake looked like a throttle body.

It did not look like a quadrajet with wires coming out of it?

If it didn't, then I'd suspect it was actually TBI that was a retrofit. Nothing in the trucks that year but carbs and diesels.
