alright I found a winch on the local craigslist its a Warn 8,000 it works but is rusty can probably get it for 200 buy or not?

i would say pass....even if you bought it i would at least replace that rusty cable before it breaks when you really needed it

buddy of mine at work has a 9000lb MileMarker new in the box for sale for like $350(might be $400 ill have to check)...ive seen 10,000lb winches at Harbor Freight for like $399 with winch plate for another $25

wow chunky. i would pass on it. and kind of on the edge of 2 small for our trucks . good rule is winch = 1.5 min weight of rig.

you can get new cables from www.awdirect.com . and lots of clean up to make it look good.

I saw it and though that I would check looked pretty rough to me too but I thought hey its a warn.

for what its worth that same winch is on sell in the vendor forum for 549 new. but still too small.
