QUICK HELP! reverse lights..

i swapped my 700r turd for a sm465 a while ago. i cant figure out where the reverse light switch is. i know its on/around the colomn somewhere but i dont know exactally where to look. its in an 87 k5... if you can get me a wire color that would be even better

It should be at the base of the column. Wires are light green and dark blue.
