Quick how to help ?

depends on your tools...

proper size bushing driver would probably work... you can try what we do with cutlass bearings on boats... take a sawzall, cut it lengthwise, JUST thru the sleeve... :wink1: then a chisel to collapse it in on itself...

or you could just try nuking the spring with a torch and hammer and punch/chisel it out...

Drilled out the rubber part and thought I was done but I just found out I need to get this outer sleeve out also. Any tips would be helpfull

Thanks

Damn nice pic by the way....always good to have a visual. I have used the sawzall route before with good results. Once you get the bond between the two broke, it should come out pretty easy. Try some JB80 to lube it also.

An air chisel is the tool of choice for those nasty hateful things. I usually just grab the edge of the shell with the chisel and collapse it in then push it out.

I tried the sawzall method to no avail. Blade kept skippping around. I took it to work and used a press with the appropriate sized socket. One that fit the diameter of the sleeve perfectly and a bit bigger one to fit the diameter of the spring eye and used a press. Same way you would change out your u-joints.
