Alright I ordered a 4" rough country lift with new rear springs and I'm going to be installing them tomorrow. The only thing I haven't been able to find anything about is which way the rear springs go on.

side #1 the second leaf wraps about halfway around the eye
side #2 the second leaf stops about an inch before the eye.

Sorry about the crappy pic, the stuff is over at my friends house or I would take a better one but I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about.

Just need to know which side goes towards the front.

i don't know about the install.. I'm wondering however.... where were the parts made for your kit? was this made in USA or India?

The springs themselves came from Canada, not sure about the other parts of the kit, I can look for ya tomorrow

I would say the side that the bottom leaf wraps halfway up would be the front.

There's a tapered shim on the bottom of the rear springs, the thin end go tord's the front of the vehicle.

I think that's how mine are i would go out and look but its raining. The thick end of the shim goes toward the rear.

The only problem is that bottom straight leaf spins freely so I don't know how many times it might have been spun around while being shipped

Is'nt the thin part of the shim pointed towrds the front the same as the thick end towrds the rear.:D

Thanks man, That's the way I put them on. Seems like that extra spring would rub on the hangers if they were the other way around.

As far as parts The only other one I saw were the Shocks(nitro) were made in Mexico

Also anyone have any advice for getting the steering arm off? I had to beat the **** out of the drag link with a mini-sledge to get it off(going to replace it any way). I beat on the arm with a mini-sledge for a good 20-30mins and it showed no signs of loosening up at all. Going to soak it in PB blaster oil and try hitting it with the air hammer and sledge tomorrow.

Lots of heat is what got my steering arm off. I beat on it with penetrating oil for a while and said screw it. Got it nice and red then gave it a few "good" whacks with a big sledge hammer and it worked its way loose.
