Quick opinion. 350 head gasket kit.

Are you using a iron block w/ alum head? They make a diff gasket for the dissimilar metal engines due to heating-cooling variances. Make sure to call and ask if it is for what ever your combo is.

4X4HIGH,

I am wanting to buy a complete kit from summit because he prices are always lower States side, and our dollar is close/on par with you dollar. Anything I buy up here would cost me more money then if I buy it down there...

bent72,

I have absolutley no clue as to what type of metal the heads are made from. This is a completely stock motor (minus K&N air filter, but means squat anyways:haha:). I am at my budds house, and I am trying to get the kit ordered in time for next week.

I have to get this truck on the road before winter. I am doing the rebuild in my driveway, so when it starts to snow/rain, I am kind of screwed until the weather cleers....

Fel-Pro is the best quality gaskets you can buy and they are not as expensive as the ones you've been linking to.

No hardware is needed unless you're missing some. The head bolts can be used over on these engines since they aren't a torque to yield bolt.

Is there something wrong with the trick flow set?? Or is Fel-Pro just an all-around better company...

(I know Trick Flow is just a another company within the Fel-Pro company, but the Trick Flow kit looks a little nicer, a little beter quality...)

Thank you very much 4x4HIGH,

I am going to go with the kit you suggested. You've been a HUGE help man. I am stressin' huge over this... I just want to drive my friggin' rig down the friggin' road!!!

:bow::bow::bow::bow::bow::bow: X eleventybillion!!!!

Not that 4x4High needs anyone to reinforce his expertise, but I throw away other gaskets to get to the felpros

I ordered that last felpro kit you suggested.

Should I still be using that RTV (sp??) stuff on these, or are these good the way they are.

And thanks again guys!!:bow:

The only place you should be using any RTV is on the intake manifold ends. On any paper gaskets i like to use a spray hi-tack sealer.
