Quick plug id for a '84 burb fuse block

You know what that plug is? it's like a plug to the alternator or something I think bc it's got the heat wrap that gm uses- plugs to the front of fuse block in a "batt" location I'm not really sure if I need it being I'm running an ecu controlled alternator. Wire colors are whit/orange like the courtesy light wiring.

So it is plugged in there, what direction is the voltage going? The plug in my hand seems to be engine related based on the heat protectioniit has like a water temp wire. The plug has one of those slide on holders that would go through a bracket or firewall/fender. That's why I think it mat not be for an alternator
 
It is powered from fuse block on the orange wire.
Red wire coming from fuse link at junction block through firewall provides power.
