Quick question about tires...

Does it matter if i have an oddball tire? I ripped out the sidewall on one of my laramie stealth A/Ps and i may not find a replacement. The tires all have decent tread left and i was simple gonna grab another. But if a buy any other simular tire (another AT) would it mess with traction or anything as long as its comparable and the same size? Just wanna know if i need a new set of tires or not. I dont do any hardcore wheeling, sand, dirt, light mud. Thats it. Thanks

The only two things that come to mind are, if they are directional tires (don't think any 4WD tires are) or if you have a locker then you need to make sure that the tire on that axle is the same height (not just size but actual tire height from wear or different brand being slightly different measured height). Traction should really be an issue at all.
