Dana 60 Chevy Crossover Steering Kit. All Solid Axle Dana 60 Chevy Trucks and Conversions, such as SAS 1988-05 Chevy Trucks, call for Exact Quote . Part # Chevy-DanaCSK-D60 $375.

Boy are you in for a surprise...
NWF is not cheaper...
Wait till you get the bill for shipping and the border charge...
Customer service is non existant.. and they wont return emails or phone calls...
My Crossover bill came to 520 bucks from them.. when it was on sale at ORD at the time for 390..
Granted their steering arm is pretty beefy...

I won tbe ordering from someone that cant return multiple emails, or phone calls.. or gets parts to the wrong address a week later than promised... and way over priced, without any explanations or warnings... and wont return my emails/calls after i got my parts... :eek1:

I'm getting a Dana 60 for my k5 and I want to order all the parts for crossover steering.

I'm gonna order the ORD kit for $440 + shipping.

Now is the steering box I need form a 1985 CHEVROLET C10 PICKUP?
If you are going to buy a brand new steering gearbox, I would get one for the same year truck you are working with. There were some changes over the years and I don't know what the cutoff years were. For my 89 k5 I just got a gearbox from an 89 2wd suburban.

Sounds like a good idea thats what ill do.

Sky IS cheaper and equal in quality and his customer service is superior to ORD's IMO. I havent had any dealings with NWF so I cant comment on them, but give Sky a call and see what they can do for you.

As far as the steering box yes you will need a 81+ steering box from a 2wd or just the sector (output) shaft from the box.

You will also need the pitman arm which Sky shows on their page with the x-over kit, but not sure if it is extra or not. The Superlift part # is 1104 I believe.

You should also spring for the steering brace kit available from several vendors and the weld in patch as well. Both of these will save your frame from the added stresses from crossover and you should do them while the box is off. Just my .02:wink1:

Hmm, they emailed me promptly. There should not be any border charge and shipping should be low since i am in canada, that is why i ordered from them or else i would have went with sky.

We get raped on shipping and border charge everytime we order from the states and it is hard to swallow, hence the reason i try to order from canada now.

Time will tell i guess.

I already have both installed on my frame:D:waytogo:

OK SKY's x-over is 375 + shipping

ORD's x-over is 440 + shipping ill find out what the total will be after shipping for both then i will let you all know.

Off road design x-over shipped to my door with 10% discount $426

Sky manufacturing x-over shipped to my door $411

Unless I get a good reason why not to go with SKY I'm gonna be ordering from them.

Sky's service.

I ordered the D44 kit from them a few years back. My draglink was waay too long. No questions asked they sent me a new one without even asking for the old one back. I had to call them to get a return slip for it. Cost $0

I ordered some greaseable bushings from ORD. The wrong sizes came in. Not my fault I measured correctly they sent the wrong ones. I had to pay additional shipping charges to recieve the correct parts. Additional shipping that was nearly double the actual cost.

ORD makes great stuff and I will continue to buy stuff from them, but small instances like that sometimes make buying something that is $25 cheaper somewhere else a no brainer.

Just my .02

Hmm, ORD sent me the wrong bushings once and they sent out the proper ones at no charge to me and let me keep the old ones.

You could also check out WFO (http://wfoconcepts.com/), Trevor has excellent customer service. I don't see a listing on his website for crossover but i'm pretty sure he has a complete kit.

wow, you guys must be catching sky on a good day. IMO he has one worst customer services i have ever dealt with. i walk in and i cant even get the time of day from him. could just be because we are local or something i guess (im not the only one i know that feels this way). but i can say that he does have good parts and i would recommend his high steer arms.

I had to vote ORD, hopefully my crossover set up will show up on Monday or Tuesday!! Cant wait!!:woot:
