Quick question on Tach hookup...

I've got a Sport comp Autometer tach i bought off a buddy. It's got 4 wires : Green, Red, Black, and a thinner (higher) gauge white wire. I imagine white is for the illumination, and black for ground. But where do i hook the rest of them up to?

Red - key on 12v

Green - signal, usually negative side of the coil.. iirc HEI has a spot on the dizzy...

thanks. Yeah, i ended up testing each wire, red was ignition power, green was signal, white was illumination, black was ground. thanks for the input man. It's all mounted up and working now except the shift lite. I'll post some pics sometime soon.
