I have a chance to get a 1977 from a 1977 truck fleetside, is this or will this fit my 78 K5. my window broke and it is split from the PO backing into a pole.

The truck tailgate will not have a window.

That is OK with me, I'm going to a soft top anyhow. I just want to shed weight. Plus the truck tail gate is straight, the first one in months and is the right price thirty dollars with all mounting hardware.
I just want to make sure this will fit,
Should fit okay. I think you might have to change the mounts/hinges but I could be wrong.
take all the hardware from the posts.. you need the trunions and link assemblys..
