Hey guys,

Would a 88 chevy c30 1 ton truck have a dana 60 front axle? I might score one for 500 bucks, without the rear axle though :( Good parts truck, would it be worth picking up? trying to get a cab for my blazer, so I can build a trazer, it has a good running goodwrench 350, and its a 1 ton frame, its shortned I believe, I already redid my frame, I don't know if it would be worth using the 1 ton frame, need some imput from you guys! thanks!'

Jack

As far as I know it would be a D60. If it is it is deffninatly worth $500. You can sell the D60 for about $1000-$1200 and probably still git 200-$300 for scrap metal. The chevy D60 are kind of rare and a lot of people are looking for them.

Thats it, well, even if its 2wd would the motor be worth that much to keep and build, or to sell? I have a 67k mile 305 that runs like a top, has a new edelbrock top end, headers, I don't know if it would be worth swapping, the cab seems to be alright, I could use it and the other parts for swapping to the blazer. Still worth 500?

motor and cab not a bad deal, ull have to use the hump from ur blazer cause the 2 wd ones arnt high enough for the 4wd trans but they come off pretty easy. if it were me i would search around alil more i usually wont pay more than 500.00 tops for a parts vehicle and it has to be really good for that. unless its a complete 1 ton 4wd big block truck then usually u will pay more. around here u can usually pick up a complete running 2wd for 300-500

I honestly only need the cab, I think i'll pass on it, if it came with the 14bff then i'd consider it, I need to find a 1 ton 4x4 for 500 bucks hah
