I am currently re-centering my H1's and plan to run them on the road as my truck see's a lot of road time. I have searched and searched and can't find a good answer on any form. It is talked about but results or usage is rarely stated.

What is acceptable runout when truing up the new centers for road or DD usage?

I have gotten two of them down to approximately .02" and struggle to get them any less and i have not had a chance to measure my current rims for reference but they too are beater steelies

Thanks in advance for any helpfull input or links to good info

10 plus years in tire shop and thousands of tires/rims .....

i tell you this. pressed centers and tires give you more vibes and problems than rims. but .02" dont seem to bad.

.02 should be fine. What tire are you running on them?

If its a bias bly then that is way fine.

Its kind of hard to get em closer than that but it is possible.

Did you measure the rims before you started?
