I recently acquired a 78 1/2 ton 4x4 and am wanting to know if 3/4 ton lift springs will bolt directly up to the 1/2 ton frame. I have a dana 44HD and a 14 bff both with 4.10 and from a different 78 truck. Thanks for any and all help and suggestions ! :waytogo:

Possibly.

3/4 tons are available both with 52 and 56" springs where as your 1/2 ton AFAIK, is always 52" springs. Provided the length is right they should bolt up. This is considering the rear springs.

Front springs should bolt right up.

Cybrfire is right, the front springs all interchange, the rears had two lengths.
On the rear, Couldn't you just change the shackle mount in the rear if the distance from the front eye to the pin is the same?
