Quick steer box???

I have a freind that is converting his 70 C-10 over to PS,and he has been told that there is a "quick steer" box that is from a 77-79 2wd 4dr dually that is the one he needs.I know some cars had a quick steer box,but I never heard of this on a truck.Anybody dealt with this,and or know the box #,or exact application.

I would be interested in this box if it does exist (it'd be great for my crossover setup in the near future).
