So i noticed my tranny (700r4) cooling lines run into my radiator on my 90 blazer. Am assuming that there is a built in tranny cooler then? Is this sufficient enough or should i also in corporate an after market cooler as everyone says to? Any idea on size if so? i don't tow heavy thinks just my quads and jetski. and offroading of course

DEFINITELY, no doubt, get an aftermarket cooler. a huge one.
700's need as much cooling as they can get, but make sure to run it inline with your radiator, it will help it get to operating temperature quicker.

cool thanks for the reply i'll do that! What are you considering huge though? I mean i only have so much room i already have an oil and PS cooler mounted in front of my radiator.

I used my AC condensor. I posted a thread on how I did it in here somewhere.
Here it is:

It's worked well so far. I dont have a tranny temp guage, so I dont know the exact effects. But I know my tranny is workin' to turn my 35s, and like that says I've felt the heat from my torque converter coming through the floor. So its gotta be helping.

get a gauge first and install it. then you know what ya got.

i installed a gauge on my k30 with th400 and 4.10 gears and 35" tires. when warm i run about 150-160* all the time with no cooler other than radiator.

also as to a/c condensor used as cooler NOT a good idea to reuse a old one as thay hold lots of crap from the a/c system. if you realy think you need this much then use a new one for this.

here is a good bit of info i have put together over the last few years on the tranny cooler options and gauges.
