Just got done plowing most of the day without a problem in my 94 k2500. On the way home the my rpms started going all over the place under 2500. It would drop from 2200 down to 1800 while I was in 3rd. Now If I press the gas it downshifts fine accelerates shifts in to third and continues to pull all the way up to 4k. Now if I let off and try to hold it at say 55 which is 2200 rpm the truck sputters like its not getting enough fuel or not getting air. I did just fill up, but it also seems like my idle is lower than normal. Do you think its IAC or did I just get some bad gas.

Edit:

I just did a tune up with Taylor wires, MSD cap and rotor, Delco plugs, new fram air filter, oil changes about a month ago. The truck has been running like a top since then. Just this crap started today.

Start the engine at night and look under the hood and see if you get a surprise of arching plug wires. I tried Taylor wires years ago and would never recommend a set to an enemy. MSD wires have been the best wires i've ever ran.

Just went to hook the plow back up after a 40 min drive where it ran just fine not one little hick up at all and now It wouldn't idle worth a ****. I didn't even hook anything up. Just drove over to the plow. I'm beginning to think my truck hates the plow..lol. It did sound like it was missing kinda loaping like it had a big cam in it. I didn't see any arcing, but I'm starting to wonder if the Electronic spark control module is going bad or a knock sensor. If I give it a little gas it smooths right out. It did through a code when it died. I will have to check it tomorrow, I left my code reader at work, and I don't feel like doing the paper clip thing. It could be an O2 sensor as well, I blew out my muffler a week ago and drove it around without a muffler for a day or two. Ahh well, we are only supposed to get 4 inches overnight. Just wanted to have a clean driveway.
