Is a 215/60R16 tire OK to mount on a 16x7.5" wheel that came with a 205/55R16 tire from the factory?

This would be temporary, BTW... probably about 6 months or so.

It'll be fine Ken, it's only an extra 3/8" wider sectionally than the original. Original should have a section width of 8.07", new tire would have a section width of 8.46".

Old tire is 24.8" tall (4.4" sidewall)
New tire is 26.1" tall (5.07" sidewall)

As long as you have room for a slightly taller tire I don't see a problem.

If it's fits, go for it. Just make sure it's not on a driving wheel or your differential and speedometer won't thank you!
