Is a 31x10.50x15 wide enough to mount on a 15x10 wheel? Just found a deal on some 15x10's but don't want to buy tires right now.

Seen it done.

Looks dumb as can be. The sidewalls of the tire are only about 1/2" wider than the rim, maybe not if the rim has thick edges, and the tread is at least 2" narrower than the rims so you end up with the sidewalls basically going / \ up from the rim to the tread.

Without trying to sound racist it looks like what a lot of the Low Rider crowd does with really wide wire wheels sticking way out. Stooooooooooooooooopid.

That's what I thought. Just wanted a 2nd opinion. So 10in rim needs at least what, 11.50 or 12.50?

At least a 12.5" wide. The tread on a 11.5" would still be narrower than the rim.

Personally I wouldn't run a rim that wide unless I was running 14" or more wide tires. Not a fan of the deep dish look or having tires stick way out from under the truck.

Gonna look for some 15x8's. I don't wanna look stupid, although it looks pretty dumb as it sits now to me! Just bought it, and it's got the factory rally's with ugly plastic full wheel covers on them! May just try to find some trim rings and center caps.

The "proper" factory Rally wheels (silver argent paint with the center caps and trim rings) are 15x8's.

Sounds like you have the el cheapo 15x6's or whatever that was the bargain basement option.

No. They're the deep dish 15x8. Someone took the rings and center caps off and put on some cheapo plastic wheel covers.

Weird. People do odd things to vehicles.

If you sniff around you can find the Beauty rings and the center caps. LMC sells repops of them.

Rally's are becoming popular again. I couldn't sell my Blazer's set two years ago but this summer I sold a decent set for $125 and the guy didn't even try to negotiate.

Just found some repops on eBay. $66 for 4 stainless rings and $55 for 4 plastic caps. Were the originals plastic or metal?

They were metal and there are two styles. One had the valve stem completely surrounded by the ring (thicker) and the other style had only a "c" notch for the valve stem (thinner).

Center caps are plastic, I believe.

Here is my old suburban with 33x12.5r15's on 15x8 rally's.

Can't see the pic but thanks. The ones on eBay were the thicker rings with the hole through them. I think I might go this route. $121 sure beats the price of wheels!:waytogo:

Here you go.....

I have a set of 31x10.5x15" BFG All Terrains mounted on a set of 15x10" white spokes. They look a little odd, but it's not bad. I'll see if I can find some pics.

Haha, here is when I first bolted those white spokes on. An old worn out set of 33x12.50x15's I had.

It wouldn't turn.

Here is another shot of those wheels with the 31's.

I've got 12.50" wide tires on 8" wide rims, but your combo will roll until your to the point when you get new rims. Btw I have a factory chrome clip on rim ring that was on the spare. You can have, I don't see me using it any time, and I'm not going to scrap it. I think this summer is the first time its been out in the weather since the truck rolled out of the factory. Take care of the ride and its yours, if you would like.

Thanks for the offer, but I just ordered a whole set.
