Quick trans question

Hey guys what is usually wrong when a trans jumps out of 1st gear? Only 1st, and not all the time. How expensive to fix?

It's a daily Zr2 but I figure the concept is the same for all trannies.

Sorry for lack of info. I figured it would be something similar on all trannies.

2000 Zr2 Blazer 4.3v6 5speed (t5?)

well there is big diffrences in auto to your stick. do you ride the shifter handle with your hand? and if so this will wear the shifter fork out. most likely a work fork.
