quick tv cable question

The throttle arms on both the 86 quadrajet and the 75 quadrajet im going to use are identical as are the cable mounting places. I was wondering if I should have any fear about simply putting the cable on and not worrying about adjusting it since both have the same travel and what not. Thoughts?

Takes like 10seconds to adjust it. I would do it. Heck, about once a year , I "readjust" mine to make sure its all good.

X2. I saw what happens when assuming they are the same. It was expensive. Not for me though.

Its done at the Carb. Google "How to adjust GM TV Cable" , there will be vids on how to do it. Its alot easier than I could even explain. But it literally takes 10seconds to adjust

depress D-button, push sheath towards firewall, release button, operate throttle to WOT... it'll click a couple times.. done... BTO's TVmadeEZ has anything you could ever wanna know..

yeah thanks guys. I did some searching yesterday and found a more detailed explanation from you ryoken. Got the throttle cable and tv cable hooked up now, and will probably adjust the one on my 83 just for giggles as well. Thanks guys.
