i think i would just regear axles. definatly leave the front open. you might want to swap out that auburn if it has quite a few miles on it. in a truck application they wear out fairly quickly and arent rebuildable so it would suck to go thru all the trouble and end up with a junk diff.
i really like the trutrac for a DD' snow rig for the rear. either that or an eaton.

definatly go with the 4.56 gears. ive heard that the gears 4wpw uses are not very good quality. i bought mine gears(superior)and install kits thru summit for about 400, and much better quality.

as far as 4WPW goes, good luck on getting a good deal on the install. i was qouted 400 for the front and 375 for the rear. and that was with a 100$ discount. i think youll be lucky to get them done for under $700.

Just to give you another option.....

I know you said this was your street rig... But for about an extra $600(depending on what prices are now), you could get a D60 front and a 14Ff rear with a Detroit from Wayne! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

But with your current axles, I would leave the set-up alone and just re-gear since you see snow driving.

edit...

I just read it again... for an EXTRA $600... /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

I think for now I'm just going to regear the axles and leave everything for now. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif not enough money... This job thing looks ok for a short term deal unless they bump me up to somewhere else... /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif
