R tranny croosmembers interchangeable??? or only modify mine

I got clearance issues with the front driveshaft, 81 k10 around 4" lift i got the straight crossmember with the th350 on it, ive seen one like W and one like an S (on 2wd trucks)

Please help me ID them

What clearance issues? I had to cut a hole in mine so the CV didnt rub. I just reinforced the bottom where I cut with some 1/4".

Exactly the same deal, the CV rubs in the section where the mounts sit... yeah ill just cut it and some some re en-enforcemente in the bottom of it. im getting lazyy

Yup I cut a 2"x2" hole under the CV then just welded a piece across the gap underneath. Been that way for a couple years now with no issues.

Is the rubber mount bad making it sag or something?

Mine happened when I went from the 700 to the 350 and the W to the flat crossmember. 241 case.

I tried new mounts first, but it's just real close and would clunck clunk clunk under load.

Poly mounts may have fixed it, but cutting it was easier

I got new mounts and they seem to be smaller compared to the old ones, ill change them back but still theres always been rubiing there
