I was wondering if anyone has installed a set of "racing style" seats in their K5, and could post some pics for me to see. If anyone has a particular brand they really like and wouldn't mind telling me why I would also appriciate that also.

Thanks,

here the hard poly ones from summit I run. But I don't do a lot of hwy driving in mine.

im guessing ALL you do is crawl those look like they would be a little rough bouncing around in the woods

I have the Jeg's version of the hard plastic seats. If you buy the padded covers they have plenty of cushion. The lumbar support feels like it's trying to rearrange your spine unless you have the covers on though.

No bouncing, luckly when I'm in the woods I don't have someone chasing me and can take my time. :p: To me they're alot better than the factory seats that where in it. Also my rig stays parked outside year round exposed to the elements. Plastic doesn't smell when its wet and its easy clean. Both seats cost less than one of the seatbelt harness's that I run.

...and you can drill holes in the lowest part of the seat so a quick wipe with a rag will get 'em ready to go after a stormy night for those of us that no longer have tops... :woot:

Corbeau Baja SS seats in my K5.

Had the Beard Super seats in my K5 but I think they will be going in the Malibu now that the Blazer is being parted

Certainly dont run the Kirkey seats. I have one in my buggy, and after a weekend of massive trail riding, my back gets sore. I have the bitchin covers and even added about another two inches of foam. I have no idea how any of you run the plastic seats.

My next set of seats will definately be PRP.

here is mine. Dark pic and lightened so bad quality but you can see the idea.

When I put mine in I made it so I sit higher than in the stock bench seat so I can have more visibility. I am 5'10". Someone tall would prob be close to hitting head alot on cage in mine.

I reused the stock sliders on mine and sit at roughly the same height, if not higher. The seats look very deep because of the bolsters but they don't lose much, if any height over the factory stuff.

i got 2 racing seats off ebay for 260... just installed them last week after putting bedliner from the firewall back. I love they way they feel, but a larger person may disagree ( 5' 10" 180 lbs) haven't offroaded in them yet but they should hold me in a little better then stock seats... plus they look badass

I'm feeling too lazy to search right now and I'm kinda in the mood to hijack. ;) So how much more would a couple of MasterCraft cloth seats be vs. a pair of Corbeau?

Mine were ~ $800. On this board, they're the second worst thing to have, right behind ARBs

 Can you elaborate? I haven't heard anything about the MasterCrafts being bad on here....yet.
