I'm sure this question has been asked dozens of times. Have 38.5x14x16.5 tsl sx's, they don't work with the type of use of my truck. Want to go to a radial, want to try 17" rims, the truck feels like I geared it to low so should be able to take a larger tire. I'm leaning towards the BFG mud 40" (or 37" because the sx's measure just over 36" half worn). Suggestions and input on owner experience's wanted. Thanks
ps.
/78 blazer, typical 1 ton stuff, near stock 396, NV4500/twin stick 205, 4.88 and detroits both ends

37" bfgs probably don't actually measure out to be 37 either. Infact I can almost guarantee they wont

Everyone I know with the new BFG muds likes them and that ranges from a set of 31s to a set of the 40s

The only bad thing is the price tag. Has it come down much on the km2?

Last quote over a year ago if I remember right was $500.oo each for 40" BFG km2, plus the price of new rims?? My SX's were $350.oo each and I won't get 10,000kms/6000miles out of them at the rate they are wearing.

The BFG MT, New Goodyear MT/R, and the old style MT/R in a 40" all would be a good choise. Look around for the old MT/R which might be the best bang for the buck right now. They are clearing them out because of the new style.
