I had a front end collision with a drunk driver about 8 months ago and haven't really drove my truck since. It is a 1990 K5 blazer. he ran a red light and i tried to stop but all four tires locked up and I hit him with the front drivers side of the bumper. Luckily no one was hurt.. my blazer on the other hand suffered some body damage. The P.O of my truck put a new bumper on and when he did, he didn't bolt the corner brace back on at the bumper. So when we hit each other, the bumper bent in and up and destroyed the fender and bent the core support just outside of the body mount bolt. I bought a new fender from a suburban at the local salvage yard. but i'm trying to bend the core support back to save money and time. I've already moved it a lot using a pole, a 4x4 block of wood and a sledgehammer, and a hand torch. but it doesn't seem to move any more. any tips on how to bend it out a little more? its fine at the top but at the bottom where the fender bolts on the holes are about 1 1/2" off. any advice will be greatly appreciated. I'm planning on driving it to my senior prom soon and don't want it to look ragged.

Try a come a long or a bottle jack or slot the holes is it off front to back or top to bottom cause if you disconnect it from wheel wells the core support wil flex front to back quite alot. Then on pass side unbolt bottom bolt on battery tray and that will help core support flex back n forth too. Then shim and fit it as best as you can.

Chain it to a tree and back up in 4lo. I have used this method before. But, a bottle jack and all that is a safer method.
