quick question any help is appreciated after driving my truck is the upper radiator hose supposed to be very tight with lots of pressure.

If you ever take a look at your radiator cap, did you notice that it says never open hot? The reason for this is when the water is hot, it is also under pressure, as it cools it loses pressure. Radiator caps need to be replaced every few years to maintain cooling system efficiency, so if that hose didn't build up pressure you would be looking at problems in the cooling system.

Sorry to Hijack.....
But If I can squeez my rad hose about half way together is this a problem?
This is after about 6-7 mile drive(s).It never over heats and is always full of water, the over flow too.
Hijack over.

It may be that the hose is a little worn out. Generally a new hose will not allow you to squeeze it at all, or very little. As they age they start getting soft, and that is when you start carrying a spare or replace it at you first opportunity.

Depends how warm the engine is.

Squeeze it cold, then squeeze it once the engine has heated up, doesn't matter if it's running or not. You'll notice the difference.

But yes, with the engine warmed up, the hose should be hard to squeeze, but not impossible.
