I am new on here and new to k5's. I never had to mess with the radiator in my k20 so I am not sure how the radiator is supposed to mount in these things. My k5 has a 454 swapped in and appears to have a smaller radiator than stock. The thing just kind of rattles around between the fan shroud and the radiator support. How does the radiator actually mount to the upper and lower mounts. I am assuming I am missing something on the bottom side of the radiator. Maybe some sort of rubber mount for the radiator to sit on? Pictures would be great.

There are rubber mounts to and bottom they look like this

You should have em top and bottom

There are also different size radiators, rubber mounts and brackets depending on what motor is used. The 454 should have a larger radiator than the original 305/350.

The radiator in mine actually looks smaller than stock. Also for a bit of info, the blazer is a 73. I have only had it for a week and a half, but I need to fix this before I will really drive it.

in addition to that the later model year rads are shorter ( I think I have that right) and if you don't have to proper upper brackets for your year it might make the thing loose

Shop around for a new or used radiator from a 73-79 Chevy truck with a 454. Get the mounting bracket while your at it if shopping used. Otherwise, you can get the correct mounting bracket and rubber pieces from LMC for a reasonable price.
