radiator question

Check out Summit or Jegs brands....made by Northern in USA, and very good stuff, and they cool unbelievably well. About 300$

can i buy a radiator thats says without ac even though my truck has airconditioning? the compressor is broken and i never use it anyways. just checking before i go buy one tommorow. im looking at getting the hd max cooling 3 row one at advance but it says with ac. just seeing if it will matter?

See if they will give you the dims and rows on both rads, most likely the w/o a/c rad is smaller. I'd still with the larger of the two units.

If you can stand the price, I'd highly recommend going with a 4 row version for a 454 or diesel. Too much rad is great, not enough will get you in trouble.

I dunno about the too much radiator thing, i have a 4 core with heavy duty fan clutch and 195 t-stat and when it's cold out in Indiana, i can't get the engine up to normal op temp, even with cardboard covering 1/3 of the radiator surface and also the grille completely covered. In Arizona and hot summers it did fine, but since he's in a colder climate i personally dont think a 4 core is going to be worth any extra cost. Although i believe replacing my heavy duty cutch with a standard one may help alittle, those heavy duty units pull a ton of air for quite awhile.

3 row will be fine, and getting a radiator from 1-800-radiator gains a lifetime warranty.
