Anyone using a different method of mounting thier radiator other than the factory way? Fighting with the little rubber things and what not is getting pretty old. Im actually thinking of going to an aftermarket aluminum radiator that bolts directly to the rad support...

Any ideas?

never had a problem with the factory rubber mounts. i actually swapped my radiator out in a apartment complex parking lot after one of my batteries came loose and took out the coolant level sensor bung durring some trail running. Complete Diesel radiator swap, in about an hour, ahhhh the joys of keeping a nearly complete toolbox and "random goodies" in the truck. the foam handle off of an ice scraper when rolled up makes a handy plug for a hole in the radiator :)

havent looked at aftermarket ones, but also havent had a problem with my temps. i never go over 170, and normally run around 140.

I think I'd stay away from solidly mounting a radiator in one of these trucks, they flex too much. It MIGHT work, but I'd not want to be the one to find out it doesn't. Something wrong if you are having issues with the rubber mounts.

Yea, I think Im finding that I agree. Its looking like I had the wrong mounts. I just ordered a new four core, new rubbers, and hopefully, the correct mount. So, we will see! Thanks for the imput.
