Radio patch panel

my nieces 1983 C-10 radio was changed out to a single din aftermarket by the old owners . Radio is long since gone. She wants to put a retro sound radio in it ,but the panel the radio go in, in the dash is all cut up. Does anybody have knowledge of a patch panel that will return it to the factory opening? I can make it if I have to and weld it in but wonder if there is a better way to go with this. Thanks in advance for any advice

Otherwise check ebay for unmolested dash sections. It's a pretty simple cut and tack weld in place fix. It's hidden by the cluster trim
