Just bought a radio out of a 2003 Chevy with a CD player on Ebay. I want to put it into my 2003 work truck that has AM/FM only. Someone told me I would need an unlock code for that swap to work. Anyone know anything about that?

Most original equipment radios need a code to be entered after the battery is disconnected from them. It's a security feature that renders the radio usless to theifs. The PO should have (and should have sent you) the code. If not, e-mail them and ask. IIRC it is with the owners manual and stuff.

If they don't have the code I have no idea if GM will give it to you and it may be hot.
