rag joint - how to replace ?

I got a new ragjoint wjem I ordered the Borgeson steering shaft.
They sent the rubber disc and new bolts.
I'm at a loss as to how to replace just the rubber disc. I have removed the entire rag joint assembly from the steering box - that's not the problem.
How do I actually get the rubber disc out so I can put the new one in there?

If you still have the original, you have to gring off the edge of the pins to take them off, the new ones will have the nuts to hold them.
