Rag Joint Seal... Searched... please help

I'm having a hard time clearly understanding how to replace the rag joint seal where the input shaft goes into the steering box. Not long ago I replaced the sector shaft seal right above the pitman arm, but appearantly the snap ring didn't go in far enough, and it has blown itself back out, but that will be a piece of cake to replace when my lift goes on, because with no leaf spring, I'll have lots of room to drive the seals and snap ring father up into the box.

But the new seal that leaks is the rag joint seal. I've had a hard time understanding exactly what it consists of or how to replace it. Any tips on replacing it?
