Yeah I am struggling with this issue, (kinda obsessed). I also have to get my K5 back running after sitting for almost 2 years. The 1500 makes more financial sense and probably would be the smart move. But hope says I'm smart.

So dealer one says he's got both the 1500 and a diesel 2500 with ram storage for me to see Monday. He can beat dealer two's price of 47K by 5K. So I'll go down and check both trucks and decide.

Find a 07-09 2500. 30k milies and dont pay more than 20. My 07 had 60k and i paid 17 for it. Im in Alaska....

Well I pulled the trigger. In the end I bought the 1500, it was the best choice for me at this time. I would love a diesel 2500 but I can't afford it right now. The 1500 is a 09 with 37K on it with the ram box system I was looking for.

Thanks! It does fit my gearhead mindset, "its a truck but very muscle car". Since I really doubt that I would have "off roaded" a 2500, I think I made the right choice.
