Of all the weird coincidences I was headed out to the parts yard and returning when I see the blue 1972 Blazer again...mind you this is 20 something miles away in another city...two or three weeks since I saw it on the interstate....
I figured it was too much of a coincidence so I flagged him down and got pics this time:

I've not been that close to a Gen 1 before....the Curves are sexy...but I still like the Square Body

I hope to catch up with him at a car show coming up...would like to park right next to it and we would have the last of the GEN 1 and a beginning if Gen 2 together in one pic (!974 is same as 1973, so....)

Some of yous GEN 1 guys will have to tell me if that is an original color....are those oem wheels for that year...etc..

What were you driving when you met him?

Thats a shame. I was hoping you were driving the shark special.

I haven't reached the point where I will leave it out of my sight yet....parking in a parts yard parking lot is asking for damage and also I wouldn't walk the yard for two hours and leave it.

I only eat at restaurants that have large glass windows, and even then when a group of people gather around it I get nervous...

I drove it to Bandito Burrito yesterday and parked it dead center up front...very few cars there....well...the whole parking lot was available but the beat up 20 year old mitsubishi car full of drunk dudes pulled up right beside it so tight that I got up ran and got in between my drivers door and their passenger door...because I could see the guy was swigging a beer fast and was droopy and I knew that door was going to swing out wide and hard...

That's why I won't leave it out of sight...

Also, three guys walked up and were looking it over and they reached right in and opened my center console...I got stuff in there...I know they want to look but you don't just reach in and open stuff...

That's also why I tote a .45 whenever I drive it...just in case..

:haha: that was Jaws2 ... I like that scene though...hot wax..that's a great myth busters question...would parafin wax hold up to make it to the target?

That blue blazer is sweet!

And yeah that is a big problem owning something so nice as yours...

My brother had a super nice 72 SS Chevelle. He sold it cause he was always worried about it. :doah:

i had a customer that had some exotic sports cars, and the one who could not take anywhere was a 63 stingray coupe, people would not stay away from it,he had a pantera, and a ferrari, and a couple porches, never had much issues with those, but that stingray atractted a lot of attention
